The Water Mill Bridge Club is the new home of the original Eastern Suffolk Bridge Club, the oldest bridge club on Long Island (founded in 1946). We merged with the Eastern Suffolk Bridge Club and the Southampton Bridge Club in 2003.
The Water Mill Bridge Club opened its doors in our new facility in January 2011 by owners Jim and Kathie McLauchlen. The club has all the newest computer technology, hand held scoring computers with instantaneous results. We are part of The Common Game, which distributes computerized hands to all the participating clubs throughout the United States to be played daily. Our game results are compared with all other players participating in the day’s play and awards are given to overall winners of ten games or more. (We have had several winners).
We sponsor games awarding Gold, Red, Silver and Black points throughout the year encouraging and helping players achieve their life master status.
The Water Mill Bridge Club offers group lessons, supervised play, Newplicate (new Players only) and classes – beginning and intermediate with Laura O’Reilly – advanced with Pro Joe Byrnes, and special seminars by world-wide bridge Pro Melih Ozdil .
